25 February - Empties Please

Our Parent Council have come across a great new and easy way to raise funds for our school through recycling used ink cartridges.  We are working with a company called ‘Empties Please’. They collect and recycle used ink and toner cartridges the environmentally friendly way and will donate the money raised back to us!

14 January 2021 - Thank You from Age Scotland!

Thank you from everyone at Age Scotland.  We cannot thank the pupils, staff and parents of Riverside Primary School enough, for the amazing fundraising efforts of £500.

This total will go to our Friendship Call line, this is a once per week call to an older person who is feeling lonely and isolated, what a difference this will make.  With your £500 donation, we will be able to make 100 extra calls over the coming weeks, we are extremely grateful for all your hard work.  You are amazing!

Hello,  we have just heard the latest Coronavirus briefing from the Scottish Government announcing that schools will move to remote learning from 11th to 18th January.  We wanted to let you know that we are part of the National E-Learning Offer with ESgoil and are ready to help.  Have a look at what is already scheduled here.
We are also able to offer additional teaching for primaries.

10 September 2020 - Home Learning Grids

Home Learning Grids are now available on your child's class page, in the Home Learning Hub and Class Information Section.

Please use these grids if your child is absent from school and well enough to complete some work. Tasks in GREEN are SHOULD DO activities and tasks in BLUE are COULD DO ACTIVITIES.

We recommend completing about 1-3 tasks per day.

14 August 2020 - No Nut Products in School

Please note that we have several children in the school with severe nut allergies.  We therefore ask that you do not send any nuts or nut-based products (eg, cereal bars containing nuts) in to school with your child for either snack or lunch.  

We appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
