Welcome from Mrs MacPhee, our Headteacher
P1 Transition Project - 'Colour Monster Goes to School'

Our transition project children joining us in August 2024 will be emailed to all nurseries. As part of Riverside Primary’s transition, we have set up a small project for the children to do at the end of nursery and into the start of Primary 1. It is based on the book ‘Colour Monster Goes to School'. We want to find out all the things that the children love to do at nursery, at home and, after the summer, at school as they journey from nursery to P1.
Watch the story being read aloud below by Mrs Ferguson

Transition stories for Primary 1 children ~ May 2024
We look forward to welcoming your child to Primary 1. To help familiarise the children with school we have put together a video. Please share this with your child. We hope your child will enjoy watching the video and it will give you lots to talk about and encourage your child to feel confident and excited about their first days at school.
