Comann nam Pàrant is a community-based organisation which exists to represent the interests of parents whose children are educated through the medium of Gaelic from pre-school, primary to secondary level.

 

The aim of the Comann nam Pàrant Sruighlea (CnP Sruighlea), is to support and promote Gaelic both within the schools and the wider community.

 

The members of CnP Sruighlea are all parents with children in GME at Riverside Primary School and Wallace High School. Everyone is welcome to attend our open meetings and contribute.

 

One of our core activities is to raise funds to support Gaelic extracurricular activities, i.e. Gaelic events after school, at weekends and in the holidays. This has ranged from a mini Fèis to comic making to paddleboarding and outings to Celtic Connections. This year (2024/25) we have successfully applied for funding from Bòrd na Gàidhlig to run a programme of Gaelic activities for all ages.
