Book Bugs, Read Write Count and The First Minister’s Reading Challenge
At Riverside we are very excited to be taking part in a range of initiatives to promote a lifelong love for reading: Book Bugs, Read Write Count and The First Minister’s Reading Challenge.
All initiatives were launch at Riverside in November and will continue to run throughout the school year. We have events planned throughout the session to recognise and celebrate the efforts of our pupils in working towards their own personal reading targets.
P1-3: Please look out for the monthly evaluation sheets to showcase your exciting learning at home.
P4-7: Please keep your Reading Passport updated for our submissions at the end of each month. We will be submitting our results at a national level in May.
For more information on each of these programmes please follow to link below to read our case study which was published by The Scottish Book Trust.
We hope you enjoy looking at our website and finding out about some of our learning at Riverside.
We now use Twitter as an extra way of communicating some school events to parents. Please note that this is not a forum for concerns and these would be continued to be addressed in the usual way of communicating directly with the school.
